Meet the Doctor

Dr. Perry Lim

I was born and raised in the Bay Area in Oakland, California. I went to the University of California at Berkeley receiving my Bachelor of Science Degree in Genetics in 1989. I attended the University of Southern California School of Medicine and received my Medical Doctorate in 1993. I went to the University of California at Los Angeles for my Pediatric Internship in 1994 and then Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center for my Pediatric residency training completed in 1996.

Throughout medical school and my training I have been dedicated to and thoroughly enjoyed providing care for children in the settings of health and acute and chronic illness. I have been working in various practice settings since finishing my resident training including Kaiser Permanente Medical Group and San Jose Medical Group. Having worked in various settings including Urgent Care, Emergency Rooms, and large Multi-Specialty Groups, I have found the key to getting excellent health care is to develop a relationship with your health care provider. I am happy to be starting my own private practice as I believe private practice provides the intimacy needed for the best primary care.

On a personal note, I have been blessed with a wife and 2 daughters and we plan to continue to raise our family in the South Bay Area. People who know me would say that I am still a child at heart so choosing a career in Pediatrics was an easy choice. I collect comic books, cards, and toys. I still enjoy watching animation and Saturday morning cartoons. I am interested in business and finance. I am also an advanced tennis player and avid moviewatcher and sports fan. I am an active member of my local church and enjoy helping with my wife as a youth counselor.

I am looking forward to a career that will allow me to continue to work with children and their families in a primary care group setting. If there is one asset that I would attribute to myself, it is my desire to touch the lives my patients in a sincere and human way. I look forward to the opportunity to provide the best care for your children as I would my own.
